I am fortunate to have asked Steinar for help setting up a website for the Build Crozet Library advocacy group. He took my ideas about the functionality along with our logo designer’s photo and layout for the home page and built a website that provided more than I’d asked for. I engaged the services of Steinar Knutsen of New Site Media in August, 2011, to help my company, Language at Work, become an online media presence.
The specific services that Steinar provided to us were: the design and construction of a new web site, the establishment of a Facebook presence, the creation of a blog, and the handling of any of the technical issues that would be required in the course of development.
Steinar completed these tasks, and we were and continue to be pleased with everything that he did. Moreover, we were and continue to be pleased and grateful for the manner in which he worked with us.
I came to our project with fairly definite ideas of what I did not want in a web site, and with some resistance to having both a blog and a Facebook presence, but Steinar was patient and calm throughout the time we worked together, and was able to explain both technical and practical considerations in ways that I could understand.
He made what I feared would be a stressful experience positive and enlightening. We asked for changes and more changes, and Steinar unfailingly provided what we asked for without a hint of a suggestion that we were spinning our wheels in some cases. He was always responsive, always cheerful, always willing to try something new, or to consider another idea. We felt totally confident that Steinar knew what he was doing and that we could trust his knowledge and judgment.
At the end of the work, Steinar provided us with training in the use of our new Facebook page, and in the behind the scenes work necessary for maintaining and changing things as we might wish. I know other small business owners who did not receive such training from their web designers, and had to request it as a financial add-on.
Subsequent to our work, we have had some email issues, unrelated to the work that Steinar did, but that required some information about the web site. Steinar was quickly and gracefully willing to provide assistance with these issues as they came up.
We hope that Steinar will become an on-going resource for us in all matters social media, as he is knowledgeable, efficient, easy to work with, and reliable. We will recommend him with enthusiasm to anyone.
